On the Issue of Politics and Global Warming

Politics is a dirty game and politicians use ecological issues to push their socialist agenda. While the issue of saving our "doomed" planet is very real, politicians alone cannot solve it. Saving our nature can only be done by changing our attitudes toward it first. No politician can ever impose laws and expects the people to obey if he himself is not leading by example. Look at Al Gore. He goes everywhere and makes millions of dollars talking about how we should be concern about the issue of global warming and how we should start driving those little "pot-pot" vehicles and yet he himself flies around on his ever energy-consuming and nature-polluting private jet. The word hypocrite comes to life. Such hypocrites politicians are!

You see, I come from a country where politics is more than just a dirty game; it's worse. It's an incurable disease of some sort. They tell you what you like to hear that's why you vote for them. And when they get in that office, they suddenly change. Well, they didn't really change; they're just now showing their true colors.

As to the issue of global warming, it's just a hoax. A global myth that the liberals have invented as a tool to put more dollars in their pockets and to gain more power. Decades ago, the same group of people were saying that the world is going to be frozen. And now, they're saying that we're going to die from too much heat. Which is which people? Ice age or global warming? I'm totally confused.

Here's the thing: I really truly believe that nature can outlasts human beings. You know why? Because we are destroying ourselves. We need to fix ourselves first before we can even try to fix anything. Besides, nature will take care of itself. It has been for thousands of years. If our natural resources were truly going to be gone forever--the way we've been treating it--it would have already been destroyed a long, long time ago. But it's still here, isn't it?

Cop Discovers Co-worker is Long-lost Father

Sgt. Chris Walker, a police officer in Petersburg, Va., grew up without ever meeting his biological father – until he suddenly discovered his own co-worker fit the description.

Walker's mother was only 15 when she became pregnant. She was separated from her husband, according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch. After the affair, she returned to her husband and no longer communicated with the baby's father while Walker's grandmother raised him.

One day, an officer named Claiborne Hamilton, a Richmond police veteran, came to work as a detective at the Petersburg Bureau of Police – the same department where Walker was employed.

Detective Hamilton's name rang familiar. It was very similar to the name of Walker's biological father: Clay Hamilton.

Officer Walker approached Hamilton's desk and asked a series of questions. He found that the detective was 53-years-old, grew up in Richmond and dated a young woman named Billie Joe.

Walker, 37, called his mother to follow up on his suspicions. She told him his father's name was Clayton, not Claiborne. But he didn't give up.

He asked her if she knew a Billie Joe Walker.

"There was a pause on the phone, and she said, 'That's your dad,'" Walker told the Times-Dispatch, referring to Hamilton.

Walker's mother had been nicknamed Billie Joe after Bobbie Gentry's 1967 song "Ode to Billie Joe."

He called Hamilton and said, "I think you're my father."

"It shocked me, but I always believed that there may have been a possibility at the time," Hamilton said. "When I first talked to him on the phone, I cried."

The men took a paternity test, and the results came back earlier this month. They confirmed that the two officers – who had never even met – were father and son.

Even though they led separate lives, Hamilton and Walker both enlisted in the U.S. military and chose careers at urban police departments.

They are now spending time together, and learning more about each other's families.

"I feel like we've got a lot of time that we've missed. Of course you can't ever make up for lost time. We're going to do what we can to make it up," Hamilton said.

Walker told the newspaper he believes it was all part of a greater plan.

"There's no hard feelings from me because I knew he did everything he could to locate me. He's my dad, and I love him, and I look forward to a lot of years with him," Walker said. "God works in mysterious ways."

A 12-year old Girl's Opinion on Abortion

When I clicked play to begin watching this video, I wasn't expecting it to be this good. I figured it would be some middle-school girl talking about God, regurgitating her parents' opinions. For most young kids, that's all they're doing when they talk about hot-button topics like abortion -- repeating what they've heard. Sometimes, though, the child speaking is so knowledgeable, with so much passion and conviction in their eyes and in their voice, it's obvious that they did this on their own. I'm convinced that this girl took the time to do her own research and wrote the speech herself.

I was stunned at how good this video is. This little girl, a seventh grader, spoke so eloquently and so convincingly on a topic that many adults can't clearly articulate their feelings about. Abortion is one of this issues that dredges up passionate feelings, but they're not always easily articulated. This girl did it with no problem. And she was thorough. She didn't stick to the "it's wrooooong" argument, but gave many valid, factual arguments on why abortion should not be legal.

The Parable of the Fig Tree

In this video, we will learn the lesson of the Barren Fig Tree. This was a prophecy spoken by Jesus regarding the Jews and Jerusalem in the last days.

It's important to remember that there is a believing Jewish remnant there, inside the land as well as outside the land. Many of the Jewish remnants suffer forms of persecution for their belief in their Jewish Messiah. They keep their Jewish identity and celebrate the feasts. Many are Torah observant; however they are often disowned by their families because of their belief in Messiah.

As Christians, we must pray for Christians in the area, as well as those following Judaism and Islam. We should earnestly pray God will deliver them and open their eyes to His truth.

El Politico II: Does Obama's Chicago Roots Really Matter?

On my previous post, I have mentioned a little about Obama’s questionable relationship with people who believes in Marxism while he was still a “community organizer” in Chicago. But does Obama’s Chicago roots really matter? ABSOLUTELY! I believe his dubious associations, past political maneuvering, and far left ideology are quite indicative of how he will govern if God forbid he is elected. For me, it’s not just his roots–it’s the very core of his being.

I am frustrated and disgusted that the drive by media refuses to properly vet him. His relationship with Ayers obviously deserves closer scrutiny. The two of them basically tried to highjack the Chicago Public Schools in order to implement the radical extremism that Ayers still espouses to this day.

McCain must leverage Obama’s questionable past as part of his overall strategy. He needs to do a much better job of educating voters on how dangerous an Obama administration coupled with a Pelosi and Reid led Congress is for America. Just thinking about what the Supreme Court will look like when they are finished makes me shutter.

Obama is a wolf in sheep’s clothing and America needs to wake up to this fact.
